    Some very attractive buildings. Particularly the L shaped houses. Adobe's so soft and comforting. And cool inside.

    Saw an interesting programme on adobe and earthquake zones a while back. Adobe just crumbles in earthquakes of course. Unless you put straw mats in it. The old people in the villages put straw mats standing on their edges into the centre of their adobe walls as they built them and they flexed when the quakes came. Cool.

    We're not in an earthquake zone, as far as I know. Knock in wood. We tend to think, if it's made of adobe, it's not going anywhere.
